Mr. Mark Zulz is the head of the Guidance department at L.W.H.S.  After growing up in Wenona, IL, he went on to Illinois State University and received his Bachelor of Science in Education degree in 1979.  In 1989 he received his Masters in Education-School Guidance.  Currently, he is working toward a General Administration certificate.

Mr. Zulz came to L.W. in 1980 as a special education instructor and became the guidance counselor in 1993.  While in Washburn, Mr. Zulz met and married Mary Jo Zulz, the kindergarten teacher at L.W. grade school.  They have six children; Jacob, Emily, Leah, Mara, Ethan, and Levi.
